In the summer, the lovely patio is filled with people who love water as well as other visitors. Everyone is more than welcome here six days a week (the brasserie is closed on Thursdays) for lunch, dinner or a refreshing drink. Guests enjoy themselves wandering around the marina, while you can go on foot or by bike towards the fortified cities of Willemstad or Klundert.
Tip for your visit: explore the defence line by bike! Willemstad, Klundert and Fort Bovensluis can easily be reached on foot, but if you want to explore more of the ancient defence line against (enemies on) the water, jump on a bike. From Willemstad, turn left via Fort de Hel to reach what may be the most beautiful fort left from Napoleon’s time: Fort Sabina. On this 12-hectare site, bordering North Brabant, South Holland and Zeeland, nature and history come together. With a large barracks and underground passages, it’s thrilling for children and free to access (with a donation pot).
